they had a much bigger attendance this year [at least on Sunday] at long branch park;and everyone was treated to some exciting racing for free.I can’t help thinking that with today’s economy,and the event being on fathers day [dad's love racing!] they could have put another 1000 people at the event if they had just put in the publicity and the yard signs they put around the area the simple phrase; “FREE”…..After all ;the A.P.B.A unlimited racing last held in the 80s featured a $35 admission charge.Most people expect racing event to cost !.D.I.R.T. racing charges,The demolition derby at the fair even charges $25 …the Syracuse Nationals [I know; not a race] has admission .Point is people don’t expect race events to be free.Anyway looks like the event drew enough people and full parking lots to be back next year.A new exciting event for the area ! [and free]
